  • Fitchburg High School Auditorium 140 Arn-How Farm Road Fitchburg, MA, 01420 United States (map)

In Celeste Ng’s novel, Everything I Never Told You, the Lee’s are a Chinese-American family living in a small town in Ohio during the 1970s. It was only in the 1960s that the Supreme Court outlawed state laws prohibiting interracial marriages.

Join us for a screening of the film, Loving, which tells the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple, and the landmark Supreme Court case that changed these laws. Following the film, Marcia Ladd and Dr. Kim Cochrane will facilitate a discussion of the film and how the social climate of the 1960s and 1970s affected the Lee family.
